“Our sufficiency is from God” (2nd Cor. 3:5)

By stating our “sufficiency” is from God, is a declaration of faith; a pronouncement of confidence in God’s competence; a proclamation that we are not self-reliant or self-sufficient but acknowledge that all comes from God through Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

None of us, especially those who are ordained to the Holy Orders, are fit, capable, or even qualified by effort and aptitude to minister, teach, and lead. Only God can enable those Whom He has called to the priesthood and grant them success in proclaiming the gospel.
