“ANTICHRIST IS COMING INTO GEORGIA” Archimandrite Lazar (Abashidze)

Settled in the Caucasus Mountain Range, the country of Georgia has been Orthodox Christian since the fourth century. It is a nation of strong, robust people; and the fall of communism brought resurge in faith, led by their saintly patriarch, Ilia II. The fall of communism also, however, brought new interest in finding a more European way of life among the Georgian people. Many have looked towards integration into the European Union. This has brought in new trends, and pressure to pass new laws that greatly conflict with their ancient traditions springing from Orthodox Christianity.

In February, 2016, the Georgian website Zneoba published a letter from Archimandrite Lazar (Abashidze) with a warning to this ancient nation inhabiting one of the “earthly portions” of the Mother of God. It is a warning to all Christians around the world as well.

   

In our Church, the faithful and even some of the clergy preach the approach of a religious “illumination” or rebirth. They say that a bright time is coming for Christians, that in the last, apocalyptic times, the antichrist will reign all over the world, but he will never come into Georgia, etc.

However enraptured they maybe with these pleasant and sweet dreams, preoccupied with outwardly ordering churches and places of inspiration (in expectation of that wonderful era), a large number of clergy and laity do not even notice (or perhaps do not want to notice), how the spirit of antichrist is coming into Georgia, and sinking deeper roots into people's souls, beginning his reign in all strata of life.

For example, “sex education” programs are being introduced in the schools, while courses on national history are being canceled—huge sums of money are flowing into Georgia, from satan’s very bosom in Europe, in order to introduce these programs!

What does this mean? Anyone who carefully studies this project called “sex education”, or looks at the new textbooks, will clearly see their creator’s desire—that a child from his earliest years would begin to learn all sorts of sexually depravity. Their goal is to turn the search for lustful pleasure into the main aim of life.

A terrible, cruel persecution against human conscience, moral values, and spirituality is beginning.

But why do world politicians need this? Why are they sparing no expense, spending huge sums of money in order to buy away the conscience of both parents and children?

Because now, throughout the world, there is active work going on to pave the way for antichrist, and at the head of all of these programs are the dark powers themselves.

They consider it of greatest importance to prepare some sort of general world order; that is, to prepare people to have all the same interests, all the same desires, all the same urges—because only then will it be possible to introduce a world leader and have control over of all humanity. Only then will the devil be able to bring to pass his ancient dream: that all of mankind worship him as the lord god.

In order to do this they must erase everything from people—individuality, lofty thinking, and a common life of ideas and spirituality.

An immoral person who does not know his own fatherland, who does not know the experience and spiritual riches of his ancestors, who seeks no more then passing pleasures, who lives only for the present day—this is the best possible material for creating someone who can be passively subjected to the common opinion for the new world order.

A person who can be rigorously controlled, who has no ideas, no soul. He will be ready to shed all of these things for the sake of freedom from everything: from his conscience, from shame, from moral strictures. He will be ready to pay for freedom, to sin for the sake of rights, to please the flesh with the benefits of this “earthly paradise” and revel in technological material comforts without feeling any pangs of conscience.

Along with all of this it is assumed that this person must remain religious—the antichrist wishes that people would bow down, and not just as to a talented man but as to the divinity.

Standing behind him are the spirits of darkness, who burn with thirst for divine worship.

But this religiosity has to be secular (free from any influence by the Church), not knowing any Truth–only a mystical surrogate vaguely resembling the truth.

Thus, in order to create this new society, three factors are needed: ecumenical religiosity (religion without grace), immorality (a person who has lost his conscience), and a break with the connection between him and his former moral and spiritual culture (a society without history).

The third factor is needed because national feeling, often received from one’s forebears, enriches a person with true wisdom, teaches him to return to his fathers and to follow those spiritually lofty, moral values that they always valued. But this firm foundation—the basis of wisdom and morality—must be destroyed.

Thus a person begins to resemble a leaf torn from its own roots, circling in the turbulent, muddy waters along with thousands of others like him down into the dark abyss.

If this program is accepted in our schools, then the Georgian will be burned at the root with the fires of hell!

In a few decades, Georgia will step on the path Sodom and Gomorrah, and will doubtlessly eventually share their fate. It is no accident that they are trying to feed the little ones with this simple poison, in order to poison their souls. They are placing serious bets on the new generation.

Now it all depends on us; and what is most terrifying is that people are silent. The priests and the clergy are silent, and only rarely do you hear a voice of warning. If they do not shout about the approaching danger, if they do not protest, if they do not arouse Christians for the fight with this evil, if they do not through strict laws bring to their senses those people who have apostatized from Christ—then the door will be thrown wide open and the carpet rolled out for antichrist to enter Georgia.

Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Ps. 110). And liberation from fear is the beginning of mass insanity!
