The Bulgarian journalist Angel Bonchev made the first
bulgarian movie for Saint Luke from Crimea
He is among the most revered Orthodox saints of the
20th century (archbishop, confessor, martyr and silverless). Unless it is among
the leading surgeons of the century because of the findings and methods in the
field of local anesthesia (regional anesthesia etc.). Thanks to it, nowadays we
use his papers. St. Luke of Crimea is among the best surgeons with input and
pus-septic surgery before antibiotics era. He had an unsuccessful operation.
According to the clergy, the hand of St. Luke during operations guided by the
right hand of God. It has a proven first transplant from animal to man, once
the lack of threads in this operation, he used to mow seams of the patient. Due
to the poverty of the people and the enormous love for those who suffer, St.
Luke received every day by one hour free patients without means. From a
theological point of view in life that I gave a sermon in 1250 so that the
Council of the Moscow Theological Academy calls his work an exceptional
occurrence.
The film "The saint surgeon" chronologically
recounts the life of the saint.
It includes two living relatives who tell their
memories of St Luke. Recorded is one already deceased nun who was personally
named by St. Luke in the room, not in the church to ban it in atheistic time to
be named children. The nun Anna remembers that moment of his life.
The film includes archive footage, some of the
Orthodox saint. Much of the film was shot in Simferopol, where his relics. It
shows clearly the day that highlights his anniversary (June 11 Old Style).
Extremely attractive film not only for the faithful Orthodox Christians, but
for people who waver in their faith. You talk, two of the miracles of the saint
with the personal stories of two people who are convinced that St Luke
personally took part in their fate.
The film "The saint surgeon" will be
presented at the conference dedicated to St. Luke Archbishop on February 11th
at 9 o'clock. Within the forum, which will be held in the great hall of the
Drama Theatre Plovdiv, will be a presentation of two books about the saint for
his life and miracles to him, and the central event is precisely the
presentation of the film of his life, which was recorded in Bulgaria and
Russia.
The film was created with the blessing and at the
request of the Plovdiv Metropolitan Nicholas, who is the organizer of the
conference dedicated to St Luke. In October last year adopted the bishop as a
gift from the Russian Orthodox Church particle of incorruptible relics of the
