SMILE!
In one pious family, a feathered friend appeared - a parrot. No one taught him to speak, but the bird turned out to be bright and talkative, he learned to repeat words and whole phrases.
Once during a holiday, the family had guests over. The grandmother fussed in the kitchen, and the children, in order to occupy the guests, showed them a funny parrot.
By chance the cage door swung open, the parrot flew out and began to flutter around the apartment. The cat, who had previously been hiding in a secluded place, caught sight of Ptah in free flight, rushed after him. And this way and that jumped up, making unthinkable somersaults in the air, trying to catch the bird. There was laughter, screaming and fun! All laughed till they dropped!
Only the poor bird was not laughing. Escaping from persecution and already rather tired to flap his wings, the parrot perched on the eaves near the ceiling. Cat, determined to catch him, caught sight of him and instantly climbed the curtains to the top. The guests froze. Another moment - and the cat catches the poor fellow!
But suddenly the bird said loudly and clearly in his grandmother's voice: “Lord, have mercy! Lord have mercy!"
From such a surprise, the cat immediately fell on the floor, probably with difficulty thinking: “Grandma ?! On the curtains ?! ”
And the parrot rather said, as if exhaled: “Thank God!”
Silent scene. And there was a universal sigh of relief and surprise. This is truly: "Let every breath praise the Lord!"
