When Man Meets God:
"When, how, and under what circumstances can man meet with God? First and foremost, he meets God in prayer. If the prayer is sincere, whole hearted, and full of repentance; if it changes the heart; if all of a sudden tears well up in the eyes of a strong man - it means that in a moment of deep penitential prayer the soul was in such a state that God could touch it... However, there is another very special realm in which we can meet with the Lord, and this is in the Holy Eucharist. When we, with a contrite heart and pure thoughts and having reconciled with our neighbors, especially those with whom we were in conflict, come to the Holy Chalice and experience God's grace, the invisible divine power touches our hearts." (Patriarch Kirill)
