“And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, ‘This Man receives sinners and eats with them’.” (Luke 15:2)
One of his most unique characteristics of Jesus’ ministry is that He went out of His way to show His love for outcasts, thieves, prostitutes, tax collectors, lepers and all those who were considered “unrighteous.” Because of this, many of the Jewish leaders were quick to condemn Jesus for associating with such people. Yet the sheer fact that Jesus never lost his taste for bad company, means that there is even room at His table for someone as sinful and unworthy a me.
