March 31 is the feast day of St. Balbina of Rome (†130), the daughter of St. Quirinus. She was baptised by Pope St. Alexander I and lived as a virgin in Rome. She was martyred under Emperor Hadrian and buried next to her father in the catacomb of Praetextatus on the Via Appia.
