We know that the word “God” is the greatest word, right?
However, a Christian can’t be uncomfortable with the words “Jesus Christ.”
There is no greater name in the world than the name of Jesus Christ.
All the names of God are known through revelation.
And the highest revelation of God is His incarnation - His coming to us as a human being, whose name is Jesus Christ.
So “Jesus Christ” is the highest name, at which every knee shall bow. (Philippians 2:10)
And therefore, on the lips of a person of the New Testament, the name “God” cannot be more frequent than the name “Jesus Christ”.
This should not be the case.
We are the disciples of Christ.
If we had a chance to spend one day with the Apostles of Christ, it is unimaginable that they would say any other name of God more often than the name “Jesus Christ”.
They lived by Him.
“To me, to live is Christ” - Apostle Paul says. (Philippians 1:21)
“I bear His wounds” - he says. (Galatians 6:17)
And when that's not the case for us,
When we fight even against the Jesus Prayer itself,
When our heart does not learn to beat and breathe by the name of Jesus,
When the Eucharistic life is not of the utmost importance for us,
When it is not the meaning of our life,
When during the Eucharistic service, we manage to chat and act foolishly... even in the altar...
At this time, without any doubt, we can say that we are not Christians.
