The Monastery of Saint Gerasimos located on the north side of the Dead Sea

This was a beautiful oasis in the desert and the monks there have transformed the monastery into a very popular destination not just for Orthodox, but for Catholics and Protestants as well. They have created a coffee shop and gift shop, and have planted lots of trees and vegetation all around the grounds, and even have a playground for the kids.
