"Has the potter no right over the clay?" (Rom. 9:21)

St. Paul likens God to a master potter who works each of us into a chosen vessel, a receptacle of His grace. Therefore, just as clay allows itself to be worked, shaped, and molded by the hands of the potter, so must we, be willing to submit to God and allow His knowing hands to transform us into what He envisions us to be.
