The martyr Charalambos of Magnesia is one of the glorious martyrs of the Ancient Church. He took a martyr's death at the age of 113 years, February 10, 202. In the Middle Ages, St.. Charalampia was resorted to for the intercession of the plague, but he helps people with other, very different diseases.

In 1992, the Athenian Irina Lemu received a myocardial infarction. To save her health, she went to Switzerland for an expensive operation. Before departure from Athens, someone gave Irina the life story of St. Charalambos. All the way, and all the sleepless night in a Swiss hotel, she read this life, asking the saint to help her. At dawn, in the room of the hotel, Saint Charalambos himself appeared to her, took her hand and said:

- Why are you so worried? I came to help you. But you have to correct that disorder that you did in your house. Why did you remove the Cross from your room? Return the Cross to its proper place, and everything will be fine!

And indeed, Irina had an old Cross, which she removed from the wall, and hung a modern photo in its place.

In the morning, when Irina went to the clinic, preoperative tests showed that she was completely healthy! Returning to Greece, she first went to the monastery of the Holy Archdeacon and the First-Martyr Stephen in Meteora. It is there that rests the honest head of St.. Charalambos, to whom Irina remained grateful for the rest of her life.
