Orthodox paraples...

On the radio "Radonezh" the abbess of one of the small monasteries located in the Russian outback told the following:

She told how their monastery was destroyed and desecrated during the years of godless hard times, how the restoration of temples and buildings is going on, how the whole circle of monastic life is being established.
About one inhabitant of the monastery - a parrot donated by someone - my mother spoke with particular pleasure and with good humor.

This universal favorite was not only very talkative, but also quite smart. His vocabulary was exclusively "monastic", and he liked to repeat the truths of monastic life for young novices.

"Forgive, bless!", "Patience, humility!" - most often flashed from his “mouth” to everyone’s pleasure, and he pronounced it in a strict “mother's” voice.
And when he saw the approach of the abbess herself, his voice turned to the intonations overheard by the young nuns:

"Quiet!" he almost screams in a whisper. "Mother is coming!"

And no matter how strict the abbess was, she began to laugh here, and the situation was immediately discharged. Caught in idle talk, young novices, who had not yet managed to free themselves from some worldly habits, were saved from punishment - the heart of abbess was immediately softened by the parrot.
