1366 trip by the Emperor John V to Buda, to ask Louis I of Hungary for his help against the Ottomans, was a prelude to 160 years of brutal conflict (1366-1526), pitting Hungary (plus Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Wallachia, Moldavia and the Serb Despotate) against the Ottomans.
