April 21 is the feast day of St. Beuno (†640), a 7th-century Welsh abbot who founded monasteries at Llanfeuno and Llanymynech. Beuno was credited with raising seven people from the dead, including his niece, St. Winefride, and his disciple and cousin St. Aelhaiarn.
