Feast of Mid-Pentecost

"Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught..." (John 7:14)

Just as the Sunday of the Cross marks the mid-point of the Great Fast, Mid-Pentecost celebrates the midway between the Great Feast of Pascha and Pentecost. And as the Cross helps us focus upon our duty to undertake and bear our sufferings, Mid-Pentecost reminds us of the importance to study, learn, and grow in our faith.
