Feast of the Elevation of the Cross

In ancient times, the cross was used as an instrument of cruel torture and death, yet Christ turned it into a tool for salvation; a bridge by which to cross over from death to life, earth to heaven. Therefore, to all Christians, the Cross is a symbol of our Faith and it holds great significance within our liturgical worship and spiritual life. It is our “weapon of peace,” our “Tree of Life,” as well as being emblematic of God’s Divine and Sacrificial Love!
