"When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.” (Acts 18:26)

Apollos, a Jew from Alexandria, Egypt, is described as being “eloquent, mighty in the Scriptures, and fervent of spirit.” He was an early Church leader, an evangelist, an apologist, and also a friend of the Apostle Paul. Yet when Aquila and Priscilla – a first century Christian missionary married couple – heard him preaching, some of his teaching was incomplete, so this pious couple took him aside and filled in the gaps of his understanding of Jesus Christ.
