Dear and beloved Panteleimon and his family,

It is an honor to say goodbye to you with the blessing of our spiritual father, Father Daniel.

Although I am saying goodbye on behalf of St. Paul's youth members, I think it is clear that not only the people gathered here, but also, everyone you met in Korea, are also sad to say goodbye to you.

The love and dedication you showed by coming all the way to Korea to protect this country and above all, your family's exemplary christian life is deeply carved in St. Paul's and touched many people.

As Father Daniel mentioned last week during his sermon, your family has become a model of a beautiful sacred family. 

We were all deeply impressed to see the efforts of each family members of you to achieve holiness in the current era when the true meaning of family is fading.

And the way you greeted everyone with bright smiles at St. Paul’s every Sunday will be remembered forever.

As you said in your farewells, we know that we will be physically separated from each other, but our spiritual bonds cannot be broken by anything.

For you who have become a family in Christ, we promise that St. Paul's community will also be a strong spiritual supporter of your family.

Because, as the Apostle Paul said in his letter to the Galatians, ‘we are one in Christ Jesus.’

Dear Panteleimon and his family, I modestly ask you to pray for St. Paul's community in Incheon and the whole Korean Orthodoxy.

May God's grace always be with you until the day we meet you again here at St. Paul's, which is your second home!

사랑하는, 그리고 존경하는 빤델레이몬과 그의 가족 여러분,

우리의 영적 아버지이신 다니엘 신부님의 축복으로 이렇게 여러분들께 작별 인사를 드리게 되어 영광입니다.

저는 비록 성 바울로 성당의 복사단과 청년회를 대표하여 작별의 인사말을 전해 드리지만, 여기 모여계시는 모든 교우분들, 그리고 더 나아가 여러분들이 이곳 대한민국 땅에서 만났던 모든 이들 또한 저와 한마음으로 여러분과의 작별을 아쉬워하고 있음은 분명하다고 생각합니다.

대한민국의 안위를 지키기 위해 머나먼 타국으로 와서 보여주셨던 사랑과 헌신, 무엇보다도 이곳 성 바울로 성당에 깊이 새겨진 여러분 가족의 모범적인 신앙생활은 많은 이들을 감동 시켰습니다.

지난 주일 설교에서 다니엘 신부님께서 말씀하셨듯이, 여러분 가족은 아름다운 성가정의 모본이 되었습니다. 

가족의 의미가 퇴색되어가는 현 시대에, 믿음으로 하나되어 거룩함을 이루어나가는 각 가족 구성원들의 노력을 보며 저희 모두는 깊은 감명을 받았습니다.

매 주일 성당에서 환한 미소로 모두에게 인사를 건네주시던 여러분 가족들의 모습은 영원히 기억될 것입니다.

빤델레이몬 형제님께서 작별인사에 전해주셨듯이, 우리가 서로 육체적으로는 떨어지겠으나, 우리의 영적인 유대는 그 무엇으로도 끊을 수 없음을 잘 알고 있습니다.

그리스도 안에서 한 가족이 된 여러분들을 위해 우리 성 바울로 공동체 또한 든든한 영적인 지원군이 되어 드릴것을 약속합니다.

성 사도 바울로께서 갈라디아인들에게 보낸 편지에서 말씀 하셨듯이 ‘우리는 그리스도 예수님 안에서 하나’이기 때문입니다.

사랑하는 빤델레이몬 가족 여러분, 겸손되이 여러분들께도 우리 인천 성 바울로 성당 공동체, 그리고 나아가 한국 정교회를 위해 기도해주시기를 부탁 드립니다.

여러분들의 제 2의 고향인 이곳 성 바울로 성당에서 여러분들을 다시 만나는 그 날까지 언제나 하느님의 은혜가 여러분과 함께 하시기를 기도합니다!
