“For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.” (Luke 15:16)
In our modern-day culture, people are more than happy to flip through Holy Scripture and read things that appeals to them; things that make them feel good, offers hope, or are deemed as positive in nature. Yet at the same time, we are quick to bypass those areas which challenge our resolve and comfort levels; those pervasively practiced things which our society now considers morally acceptable, but which still stand in stark contrast to God’s design. Such behavior, in a biblical sense, is what God finds as an abomination; abhorrent and detestable activities which ignore or go against God’s Law.
