“They have chosen their own ways…” (Isaiah 66:3)

God has given man free will, the right to choose his own life and to help shape his destiny. Thus, when people know the truth and refuse to accept it, when they refuse to obey it or hold it sacred, “they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth (2nd Tim. 2:12). 

God is not some cruel monster who deliberately delights in someone’s demise or eternal condemnation, “God is love” (1st John 4:16). He earnestly and lovingly gave us His Own Son, Who proclaims the gospel of salvation, “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2nd Peter 3:9).

Throughout the Scriptures, as well as by the teachings and example of Christ, God urges us to accept and live by His Truth. Yet when we reject Him and spurn His message, wallowing in wickedness, we willingly set a course for eternal damnation.
