Christ is Risen!
Three elements are necessary and must be present in order to celebrate the Divine Liturgy: People, Priest, and Holy Spirit.
In the Divine Liturgy, Christ is present and works through His "icon" - the priest; the people of God are exercising their role as the Royal Priesthood; and the Holy Spirit mystically works in their midst - changing the Gifts of Bread and Wine into the very Body and Blood of Christ.
