Being an Orthodox Christian is not about being "satisfied" with a church, or being "comfortable" with a church.

Being an Orthodox Christian is not about being "satisfied" with a church, or being "comfortable" with a church. Being an Orthodox Christian is submitting one's will to the infallible teachings of the Church which, because the Church is literally and figuratively the Body of Christ, are the truth and teachings of Jesus Himself. When you become joined to Christ through His Most Holy Body and Blood, you cannot help but find the salvation that you are seeking. Therefore, ask not what your church can do for you, but what you can do and bring to the Altar of God as a sacrifice for His Holy Church; all the while enhancing the true Christian experience and witness for those with whom you come in contact with.

Fr. John
