After Cain kills his brother Abel and God asks where he is, Cain responds by saying, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Gen. 4:9).

The answer of course is “Yes!” As a family of man, we are supposed to be concerned with one another’s welfare; to be sympathetic and exhibit familial, Christ-like love towards all our brothers and sisters with a tender heart and humble mind (1st Peter 3:8) – “keeping” them in our hearts and prayers and caring for their needs.
