“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” (Gen. 6:8)

In a corrupt, vile, wicked world, Noah was the exception for he “walked with God,” meaning that he followed God’s Law and found favor with Him. It does not mean that Noah never sinned, but when he did, he took his guilt to God and asked for forgiveness. Asking forgiveness for your transgression puts one, at one with God (atonement = “at-one-ment”).
