This above quote is a basic equation of Christian....

“Add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (2nd Peter 1:5-8)

This above quote is a basic equation of Christian math, for by simple means of addition, we find the sum or ultimate answer of how to abide in God. One might dare refer to it as “St. Peter’s Theorem.” Thus, if you have faith, add to it. Subtract evil and sinfulness from your life. Multiply kindness and generosity, while at the same time dividing worry and sorrow. Turn worldly pursuits into fractions and minimize that which detracts from God. And if you do, the quotient for salvation will be your proof.

Fr. John
