The crucified
Christ says: “I am the Truth”.
These words are
very important because, if we are religious beings, if we are believers, we
know that God is the absolute Truth and we are searching for this Truth.
This is a
characteristic of human beings – the animals don’t search for the Truth.
So, if a
human being isn’t searching for the Truth, then it is clear that he, as a
person, as a hypostasis, is not utilizing the fullness of his being.
In the better
case, he uses only the psychosomatic part of his being, since he isn’t
searching for the Truth.
There is a
different case as well - when a person is searching for the Truth and he finds
it... but this truth is himself.
In other
words, he sees his own truth as the Truth, instead of seeing Christ as the
Truth.
In
everything, a person has his own truth as the criteria for the Truth.
This places a
person into a grotesque position, and he becomes laughable.
Sadly, this
is a problem we all have… often, we use our own truth as a measure of the
values of the world. This is very bad.
If a person
is in this condition, then obviously, he is not a Christian….
And since we
are all in this condition, our Christianity is defective.
