Conscience

Russian painter, Nikolai Ge, was famous for his unique "impressionistic" depictions of biblical art. Here is a painting entitled, "Conscience," which shows Judas moments after betraying Christ with a kiss on the cheak. You see the torches of the guards who are whisking Jesus away in the far distance - the only light in the picture. Judas himself stands alone - "wrapped up in himself" as if in burial garb - as he realizes what greavious thing he has done.
