"Nikolas the Wet"
St. Nikolas the Wonderworker icon called "Nikolas the Wet"
In 1911, a man with his wife and a baby went to Vishgorod to venerate the miraculous icon of St. Nicholas. On the way back, when they sailed across the Dnieper, his wife dozed off, the baby fell out of her hands into the water and drowned. Tears began, many prayers to St. Nicholas, but all in vain.
The parents returned home without their baby. The next morning the guard of the temple heard a child's cry. Opening the door of the church, under the icon of St. Nicholas, he saw a wet baby. The grieving parents recognized their child.
In the summer of 2010. In the city of Velikiye Luki, a man drowned in the river, he was under water for 5 minutes. He was resuscitated but the doctors considered his condition hopeless. The wife of the drowned in desperation called friends in Toropets with a request for prayer. According to the prayers of the sisters of the St. Tikhon monastery before the icon of St. Nicholas the Wet, who were in the monastery, a miracle of healing was revealed. This image helped many suffering through sincere prayers and repentance to rise from the "spiritual bottom", get rid of diseases, enemies visible and invisible, find a job, create a family.
Holy Father St. Nicholas pray to God for us!
