Having
learned the Gospel, we learn the life of Christ, we learn His feelings, His
words, His actions. And then we will always have an example before our eyes.
Here's a situation - and you do not know what to do. Ask yourself the question:
whether in our place our Lord Jesus Christ, how would He do?
And
immediately you will have the answer: this is how you should act. Because the
Man Jesus Christ, living on earth, has not committed a single sin. Here we have
an image. Any saintly person had some flaws, it is inevitable, all people are
sinful compared to God.
Ambrose of
Optina as a child was a disobedient boy. Sergius of Radonezh in his childhood
poorly studied. Everyone had some flaws, but then the grace of God filled
everything.
This is how
we should imitate Christ, replenish our infirmities, approach the Kingdom of
Heaven.
