Sadly, the generation we live in is a world where trivia is exalted above wisdom; where knowledge of facts outweighs philosophy. Still, just as the liturgical life of the Church is rich and complex, so are the thoughts of human beings. Yet there is a difference in this complexity between those whose minds are filled with inconsequential thoughts and ramblings, on the one hand, and those whose words and actions are guided by the grace of the Holy Spirit. Therefore it becomes the sacred task of all Christians to acquire knowledge of God (i.e. theology) for this provides inspiration to one's day to day life by immersing us in the patristic, liturgical, and ascetical treasures of our Holy Orthodox Faith.
