The shoes....

The young student went for a walk with his teacher. During a walk on the other side of the street, a student saw an old pair of shoes, which apparently belonged to a poor peasant who works nearby in the field and is already finishing his work.

The student said to the professor: “Let's make fun of this peasant. We will hide his shoes and secretly watch what he will do. ” The professor answered him: “Young man, never make fun of someone else's grief and misfortune. But since you are rich, you can enjoy the following - put one gold coin in each shoe, and then we hide behind the bushes and watch his reaction.” The student did so and they both hid behind the nearest bushes. The peasant finished his work and soon came from the field to the place where he left his shoes and coat.

While he was wearing shoes, he felt that there was something in his shoe. At first he thought it was a stone, but soon he realized that it was a gold coin. He was amazed to see the gold coin, looked around and for some time was in thought. He looked around again, but saw no one. He put the coin in his pocket and began to shake the other shoe, and to his surprise he found a gold coin there.
Deeply moved, he fell to his knees, raised his head to the sky and began to pray and give thanks.

In his prayer, he recalled the seriously ill wife, children who have nothing to eat, and now, thanks to the invisible hand that gave him coins, they will eventually be saved.
The student stood deeply shocked, his eyes were full of tears. The professor asked him: "If you made a joke the way you wanted to, would you be happier than he is now?"

The young man replied: "Professor, you gave me a lesson I will never forget! Now I understand words that I did not understand before:
"The one who gives is more blessed than the one who receives! Therefore, if you want to do good, hurry and you will not regret. Follow your conscience and do not turn away from the path of moral values. ”
