One of these flowers impressed Her so much that She was tempted and cut it, but when She brought it to Her nose to enjoy the scent, She found it surprising that it had no fragrance. It did not smell at all! A cold thing.. It only had outward beauty and glamour.
Our Lady so took pity on it for the beautiful but odorless flower that She cared and said: "Pour flower! Why are you not smelling?"
And when it touched the hands of the Virgin Mary, hen it immediately gave up so much fragrance, that those who passed through the orchard were wondering: What is this, what smell is this!
