A Christian can never be comfortable with his condition, never!

A Christian can never be comfortable with his condition, never!

The exposure of our inner condition happens the most during prayer.

Once you realize that praying is not just about reading the text, but rather about comprehending every single word, making each word your own, and that these words should flow right out from our heart and be sincere...

You will discover that our heart does not correspond to any of the words of the prayer, whether it be “Our Father”, the morning prayers, the evening prayers, the prayers before Communion, the Jesus Prayer or any other prayer.

It does not correspond to anything.

We have to admit this and try to change something within ourselves, read, listen, trust, humble ourselves and learn - learn Christianity.

As soon as a person humbles himself, the rectification of all of this begins, but not by us, but rather by God Himself.

It is beyond one’s ability to rectify all of this on his own. It is only possible with humility.

Why humility? Because with humility you resemble Christ and you become a sister or a brother of Christ, you become a child of the Heavenly Father.

No matter how unworthy you are, you are a child of God and therefore He will never push you away because you have humility, that is, you are one of His own, you are of the same spirit as Him.

This is similar to what He says about David the Psalmist, you recall
from the Holy Scriptures: "I have found a man according to my heart." (Acts 13:22)

God says about a man that he is of the same heart, he is of the same spirit as Him.

This exactly is what it means to be a child of God.

When a man humbles himself and strives to attain this virtue, when he is never satisfied with himself and he’s constantly practicing this virtue, at this time, despite our sinful state, the Lord spares us no good, joy, or love.

He gives us everything, fills us with hope, and lets us experience the foretaste of eternal joy and the eternal Heavenly Kingdom, which is being with God.
