“You shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” (Luke 14:14)

When you give, you will be repaid. That repayment may take place in this life, either materially or via some form of recognition, yet that repayment is temporary, it will not last beyond this lifetime. Therefore, it is far better to give generously without expectation of earthly repayment or reward, knowing that what you give is a wise investment in ones’ future, eternal life.
