When our Lord instituted the Mystery of the Holy
Eucharist in the Mystical Supper (that of the Holy and Great Thursday), He
spoke not only about His Death on the Cross but also about His Resurrection:
about His Most Holy Body, which would die on the Holy Cross, and about His Holy
Blood, which would stream down His Side. Moreover, He spoke about the Body
which He had taken on during His incarnation as Jesus Christ who was God-man
(Theanthropos) and which in three days would also resurrect incorruptibly,
immortally and eternally. That is the Body which is offered "for the
nourishment for the faithful, unto the forgiveness of sins and unto life
everlasting." - Experiences during the Divine Liturgy
