martyr Tryphon, known for helping people.....

Moscow artist Elena Evdokimova once told about how she almost went blind. Her vision deteriorated so rapidly that the artist understood in horror: she was losing her profession, plunging into the world of darkness. Lena's friends mobilized all ties and arranged for her  an operation to the famous academician Svyatoslav Fedorov. The operation was again exemplary - it was attended by American doctors, because Fedorov was considered a miracle-worker and the best expert in eye surgery. However, what was distressing was the result - the sight was not restored.
She needed a second operation, and Elena went for a blessing to Archimandrite John (Krestiankin). And the elder blessed like this:
- Go to the the doctor that conducts the operation and do it on the day he schedules it.
The operation at the Fedorov Center was led this time by a very young ophthalmologist surgeon.
- What day is more convenient for you to go for an operation? - he asked.
- At any.
- That's good. I will write you down on the fourteenth of February.
After the operation, performed on February 14th by a young surgeon, her sight was quickly and completely restored.
“It was only later that I guessed,” Elena said, “that the fourteenth of February is the day of the memory of the martyr Tryphon, known for helping people with weak eyesight.” If only you knew how many miracles are performed through his prayers!
