Although the saints of the Church all led different
lives and experienced varying sets of circumstances, they still shared one
thing in common: their love of Christ. This love allowed them to shine forth in
a world of sin and darkness amidst all of the challenges of life. Therefore,
never give up hope in your own struggle to overcome temptation and live the
life our Lord commands. It may not seem like you’re making much forward
progress, but every step upon the path of righteousness is a step in the right
direction.
