While on His way to heal Jairus’ daughter, Jesus is suddenly pressed upon by a mass of people who engulf Him. Amongst this bustling, jostling horde there were those who probably sought to ask for His council, others were seeking a blessing or healing, some simply wanted to be close to Jesus because of His celebrity, while others truly desired to listen and hear his teachings. Yet only one person amidst the multitude received something from Christ. Only the woman with the flow of blood, who had exhausted all other means along with her entire livelihood in desperate, futile efforts, dared touch the hem of Jesus’ robe and was miraculously healed. This undoubtedly occurred because everyone else saw Christ as just another option, while that woman saw Jesus as her ONLY option! And until we, too, come to the same conclusion, nothing in our lives will ever change, be healed, or get better either.
