“Ask, and it will be given to you.” (Luke 11:9)
Oscar Wilde once wrote, “There are two tragedies in this life: one is not getting what you want, and the other is getting it.” In a way, this quote encapsulates mankind's constant desire to measure life by what he does or doesn't have. God, however, as a loving and gracious Provider, understands our plight and is more than eager to give us what we ask for; yet His desire is not that we should strive to keep up with the Jones’, but learn to appreciate and share that which He gives and deems sufficient.
