Christ is Risen!

"About the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught." (John 7:14)

Today marks the mid-point between our celebration of Pascha and the Feast of Pentecost. And although it might seem more appropriate to call it Mid-Pascha, the Church actually refers to this day as "Mid-Pentecost." The purpose of this minor feast is meant to link together the two greater ones: strengthening our faith in the Risen Lord while also focusing our attention on the coming of the Holy Spirit.
