“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)
Christ encouraged His followers to be active participants in the world: making it better by sharing His “Good news,” alleviating hunger, diminishing poverty, and offering comfort in His Name. Therefore, when such opportunities present themselves, we have a moral and ethical obligation to roll up our sleeves, get involved, and help; because each and every instance is a one-time chance to make a difference in someone’s life and to have a positive impact upon the world. To do nothing in a moment when something is required is, in effect, like slamming the door upon an opportunity God has given that could make the world a better place. Remember: a saint is simply someone who does the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason. So today, when you see an opportunity to do something for someone that can also glorify God, roll up your sleeves and do it!
