As one of the fathers says, we have to defeat the animal within ourselves, then we must ascend from the animal to the angel, and even more than this - we must resemble God. This is not easy, but we recall the words of the Lord: “My yoke is easy, and My burden is light”.
At first, neither the burden is light, nor the yoke is easy, but he who strives to be faithful to the Lord by diligently fulfilling the commandments, he who strives to truly learn to pray, I say to you before the Lord, very soon this burden of Christ will become lighter for this kind of person, and the yoke will become easy.
It will become so light and sweet that even if the entire world comes tumbling down on a person, he will not remove it by his own will... And even if someone tries to take it by force, they won’t be able to remove neither the easy yoke, nor the burden from him, because he, with this burden and this yoke, is the happiest human being (even in this world), and he is full of joy.
