“Everyone should be quick to listen.” (James 1:19)

Being “quick to listen” is not only prudent, but also polite. It shows respect and character. It also is an important element in communication, for when people felt “heard,” they are more apt to listen themselves. Therefore, in this New Year, make a concerted effort to become a good listener.
