People: Lord have mercy.
Priest: O Lord of angelic hosts: You are the consolation of the afflicted, the comfort of those who mourn and the strength of those who are fainthearted. In Your loving kindness, console the families and friends of the many thousands of innocent victims of this terrorist attack. Comfort all those who are distressed and still weeping! Heal every pain and sorrow that oppresses our hearts!
O immortal King and loving Lord: we beg You, in Your mercy grant rest and a place in the kingdom of heaven to all those who have perished. Forgive every sin committed by them whether by word, deed or thought; for there is no one who lives and does not sin. You alone are without sin; Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and Your Word is truth.
For You are the resurrection, the life and the repose of Your departed servants who were murdered in this act of violence O Christ our God and to You do we offer up glory, together with Your Father who is without beginning and Your all holy, good and life giving Spirit, now and forever and to the ages of ages.
People: Amen.
