From the very early morning, novice Larissa and nun Catherine started to cook the shift. They brought in the dough, heated up special pans. Sisters do everything "by eye", as the recipe for pancakes is known by heart.
- The recipe is very simple: we take three eggs, 4-5 tablespoons of sugar, a teaspoon of salt and sunflower oil 100 grams for two liters of milk. Then add flour, knead and look, so that the dough was not thick, but like liquid sour cream. If it seems that the dough is thick, then add a little water. From this portion we get 60-70 pancakes. Just enough to feed everyone in the monastery, ”says novice Larissa. - Yesterday we baked simple pancakes, served them with honey and jam. Today - stuffed with cottage cheese. We will do more with potatoes and mushrooms, with minced fish.
