“…increasing in the knowledge of God.” (Colossians 1:10)
It is true that, “God is the Lord and has revealed Himself to us,” yet as mere humans, much of this revelation remains shadowy, indistinct, and unattainable until we put in greater effort to “know God” and increase is wisdom. Much like a rose which opens gradually, God is made up of varying layers which reveals His Divine Nature over time; allowing His beauty, majesty, radiance, and sweet spiritual scent to entice and draw one in without destroying our minds. Therefore, never be concerned with the fact that you might not understand everything about God, Scripture, or the Church all at once, for the length, width, and depth of these revelations will more often than not depend on us our willingness and commitment to grow in Christ.
