Sweet Christ lovingly accepts the Cross on his back and breaks under its weight. Simon helps him carry him to Calvary. There he is crucified. The Creator of the world rests on the Cross, the Light of the ages bleeds upon it. He bitterly mourns the loss of those for whom even His death of love will not be enough. Infinite Life dies upon it.
And after the Resurrection Jesus embraces her. Keep the Cross on your chest.
And it becomes the royal scepter of the world, the rod of guidance of mankind, the sword that cuts through hell with all its foul desolations, and the Altar of Sacrifice on which God gives Himself, loving us without limit.
