The scriptures are riff with phrases which call for us to pay attention, be alert, remain vigilant and, attentive, ready for the Mater’s return. In Greek, the word “watch” means to “stay awake;” to be spiritually awake and aware of the surrounding realities. Cautious and wary as to the wisdom of this world; alert and aware of Satan and his demons. To stand guard against temptations and the fiery darts of the Evil One. To realize that the Master’s return might happen at any moment…even if it be upon on our deathbed. Thus, be ready. Watch!
