Sometimes the greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure, and this is obviously the point Jesus was trying to convey in today’s parable: if we don’t try, we’ll never succeed; if we don’t give, we’ll never get; and if we squander our God-given talents, they will not only be lost to us forever, but we'll likely loose ourselves in the process, as well.
