Advent meditation:

Pre-Festal Hymn: "The time of our salvation draws near. Make ready, O cave! The Virgin draws near to bear the Christ. Be glad and rejoice, O Bethlehem, land of Judah, for our Lord has come from thee!"

Bethlehem, a little hamlet outside of Jerusalem which literally means "House of Bread," is the apropos place for the Messiah to be born for, as Jesus Himself said, "I am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven."
